TheHYDRAaircrafttoucheddownatHongKongInternationalAirportjustafternoon.Caldwellstaredoutoneofthewindowsastheplaneskiddedtoahalt.He’dneverseensomanyaircraftinoneplacebefore.Therewerehundredsofthemwithmanylandingandtakingoffsimultaneously.Therewereplanesthatlandedandstoppedabruptly,planesthattookofffromastationaryposition.Theyjustshudderedandshotupverticallyintothesky.Therewerehybridplanesthattookofflikeahelicopter,thenthey’dsproutwings,therotorswouldfolddown,andthey’dshootofflikeajetfighter.Amazingly,mostoftheairlinelogoswerefamiliartohim.Inhispreviouslifehehadprobablybeenafrequentflier.

“ThankyouforflyingHYDRAAir,”thetwoEurasianstewardessessaidinstereoovertheinter.Caldwellwonderedwheretheyhadsequesteredthemselvesformuchoftheflightandconsideredtheremotepossibilitythattheyhadactuallyflowntheplane,ifinfactithadbeenpilotedbyhumans.
